When you use your iPhone, the speaker is one of the components that deserves some love. When certain pieces of debris find their way into your speakers, they can cause a lot of issues. Here are two different ways to clean and maintain your iPhones speaker so it stays in perfect condition.

What do you need to clean your speaker?

Your iPhone speaker is a complicated system. There are two sides of the speaker, two woofers, a tweeter and an amplifier. And then there’s the rest of your iPhone. It’s easy to get confused about what you need to clean your speakers, but it’s really not that complicated at all.

To clean your speaker, you’ll need a can of compressed air or a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment. The best way to get into the back of your speaker is by using the brush attachment of a vacuum cleaner because it will give you more control over how deep the wand goes into your speaker.

Then just pick up dust and debris from around your gear and in the jacks on either side of the microphone (if applicable). To maintain your speaker, make sure to wipe down everything with a dry cloth—or better yet, use some compressed air to blow out any gunk that may have wormed its way inside during cleaning.

The first method is using a cotton swab

Cotton swabs are a great tool to use when you want to clean out the inside of your device’s speaker. You can use them to clear out any debris that has found its way inside and is causing noise or a lack of sound. They are also good for removing build-up from the grille of your speakers.

To use cotton swabs on your iPhone, hold one in each hand and gently press down onto the speaker. Doing this will help dislodge any debris or dirt that may have found its way into the speaker. Gently rub across the whole surface of your speaker trying not to push too hard or do anything that could damage it.

If you’re unsure about what kind of debris you might be dealing with, place a cotton swab deep enough into your speakers grille so that it touches something then take a look at what type of material is making contact with it.

The second method is using rubbing alcohol

The second method of cleaning your iPhone’s speaker is with rubbing alcohol. This works well because rubbing alcohol evaporates quickly, which means it won’t leave any residue behind.

To clean with rubbing alcohol, all you have to do is first use a cotton swab to remove any loose debris from the outer edges of the speaker. Next, take a cotton ball and dip it in rubbing alcohol. Rub it around the speaker and let it dry before using another cotton ball to rub on the sound hole. You’ll notice how easy this method is to use and how quick and effective it can be for keeping your iPhone’s speaker in great shape!

When your iPhone speaker gets dirty, the sound quality can be diminished, and the speaker may break. To maintain your iPhone speaker, use the cotton swab method to clean the speaker and then use rubbing alcohol to remove any remaining dirt.
